  9. I. Introduction
  10.  
  11.     I intend to look at MatchMaker Plus as an ongoing project. There
  12.     are many more features for this program on the drafting board,
  13.     this release is intended to show me exactly what kind of need
  14.     there is for this software. Not only that, but through YOU I 
  15.     expect to hear what needs to be added, changed or removed. The
  16.     more response I get from you the more time I will spend on 
  17.     improvements.I would like to make this software compatible with
  18.     other host systems (this can only happen when the format for
  19.     external applications of various host programs becomes available
  20.     to me). There are currently two versions of MatchMaker Plus, one 
  21.     for Mac WWIV, one for Red Ryder Host. 
  22.      
  23.     Users of MatchMaker Plus choose an alias, and for good
  24.     reason. There should be no attempt by the SYSOP to invade
  25.     in another's privacy. The users have the ability to send
  26.     private messages to one another (each message can be up to
  27.     20 lines long).

  60. When you select this option you will then answer the questions for the
  61. current questionaire (you can press x to return to the main menu
  62. at any prompt when answering the questions, however if you do all
  63. of your answers will be erased). After each question choose the answer
  64. that best fits, or hit RETURN for NO RESPONSE to that question.

  66. Describe Your Perfect Match:
  67.  
  68. After you choose this option, you will then be presented with the
  69. same questionaire, however this time you will select answers
  70. describing the person you are looking for (or hit RETURN if the
  71. question doesn't pertain). You should realize that you must describe
  72. who you are looking for before you can match with other users.

  74. Match With Everyone:
  75.  
  76. After you choose this, MatchMaker Plus matches who you are looking
  77. for with the answers for all the other users in that questionaire. You 
  78. will see a list of all the users (for that questionaire), their ID#, and
  79. followed by the score ... 100% being a perfect match, 0% a lousy one.

  81. 50% Or Better Match:
  82.  
  83. This option is the same as the previous one, however it only shows
  84. you the users who scored a 50% or better.
  85.  
  86. Describe A User:
  87.  
  88. This option asks you for the ID# of the person you want described. You
  89. will then see the short description for each question followed by that
  90. users answer (or NO RESPONSE). (The ID# of users is very important to
  91. remeber, you need it to describe a user or send messages to him or her).

  93. User List:
  94.  
  95. This option gives you a list of all users who have answered the current
  96. questionaire, and their ID#.
  97.  
  98. Send A Message:
  99.  
  100. After you select this option, you enter the ID# of the user to send a     
  101. message to. You then have 20 lines of 75 characters each to enter your
  102. message. At the end of each line press return to go to the next line.
  103. When you are done, press return at the beginning of a line. To skip
  104. a line in your message just enter a space and press return. When you    
  105. are done, you have the following options:
  106.  
  107.     Abort:      Aborts your message.
  108.     Continue:    Continues on next line.
  109.     Delete line:    Deletes the line number you enter.
  110.     Enter line:    Replaces the line number you enter with
  111.       again                a new line that you enter.            
  112.     List message:    Lists the message.
  113.     Replace:    This command lets you edit your messages
  114.      string               easily by first entering the line #,         
  115.                then you enter the exact string to replace
  116.               then the string which replaces it.
  117.     Save:        Saves your message and returns to Main Menu.

  119. Read Your Mail:
  120.  
  121. This option lets you look at your mail if you have letters waiting.    
  122. Once you have read a message it gets automatically deleted. 
  123.  
  124. Select Questionaire:
  125.  
  126. This option lets you change the current questionaire to one of the
  127. other questionaires.

  131. This option gives the user a brief explanation of all these functions.

  135. This option takes you back to the Host BBS.

  139. III. Looking To The Future

  141.   A. More Features
  142.  
  143.    1. This demo version barely shows off the features which are planned
  144.    to be added, here is a list of some new features being added:
  145.  
  146.     a. More questionaires? If 10 aren't enough, how about 20?
  147.             
  148.     b. Two way matching. This feature will give an even better
  149.     match by matching other users against what you are looking
  150.     for, and also match them against you to see if you are what
  151.     they are looking for.
  152.  
  153.     c. Who's looking for me? This feature will give you a score
  154.     for each user based on who is looking for you. Currently when
  155.     you match, it scores based on who you are looking for.
  156.  
  157.     d. Read your mail will have more features, such as auto-reply,
  158.     and the ability to save and delete messages.
  159.  
  160.     e. The questionaires will have many more features. At present,
  161.     each question has 10 multiple choices. You will be able to add
  162.     different types of questions to the questionaire such as free
  163.     answer questions. Free answer questions lets the user repond
  164.     to a question by typing a couple lines. Another type of question
  165.     would let you rank answers in order of importance, or may let
  166.     you choose more than one answer as a good match.

  173.     1. When MatchMaker Plus incorporates most of these new features
  174.     it will be raised to $30 or $35. Those that register now for $20
  175.     will get free upgrades (except for cost of shipping) to some of
  176.     the updated versions. More information on that will be sent to
  177.     you when you register.
